Delete your vAMP account

This page explains how to permanently delete your vAMP account (the vAMP app for Android, iOS, Windows, macOS and Linux, published at vampplayer.com) together with everything stored in vAMP Cloud. You can do it yourself in seconds from the app or the website, or ask us to do it for you if you can no longer sign in.

Option 1: Delete from the app

  1. Open vAMP on your phone and go to Settings.
  2. Tap Account, then Delete account.
  3. Confirm with your password, or with the 6-digit code we email you.

Deletion starts immediately once you confirm. You are signed out on every device.

Option 2: Delete from the website

  1. Sign in at vampplayer.com.
  2. Open your Dashboard and scroll to Danger zone.
  3. Click Delete account and confirm with your password or the emailed code.

This is the route for desktop users and for anyone who has already removed the app.

Option 3: Ask us to delete it

If you can't sign in, for example because you forgot your password and lost access to your email, send us a request below. We reply to the address you enter to confirm the request is really yours, then delete the account. Requests are completed within 30 days, usually much sooner.

What is deleted

Whichever route you choose, deleting your account removes:

  • Your account and profile, including your email address and settings.
  • Every music file, music video and cover image you uploaded to vAMP Cloud.
  • Your cloud library, playlists, listening history and lightshow data.
  • Any linked third-party accounts, such as Last.fm.
  • Your active subscription, which is cancelled at once, and your billing profile with our payment processor.

Removal from our systems happens as soon as you confirm. Any residual copies are purged within 30 days. Deletion cannot be undone, and the same email address can be used to create a fresh, empty account afterwards.

What is kept

  • Records of past payments are retained by Stripe, our payment processor, for as long as tax and accounting law requires. We never store your card details.
  • Correspondence about a deletion request is kept only as long as needed to complete the request.
  • Anonymised, aggregated usage statistics contain nothing that identifies you and are not affected.

Deleting some data without closing your account

You can remove individual songs, playlists and folders at any time from the app. Deleted items are held for 30 days so that a mistaken delete can be undone, then permanently erased. Your local files on the device are never touched by cloud deletion.
